"gift yourself this time to slow down, get earth on your hands and nourish your creative soul"

In this pottery workshop, held in our newly renovated barn studio, we will make a whimsical handmade mug from clay using hand building techniques.

You will be encouraged to use your imagination to get creative with materials from nature to create a mug that is unique to you and handmade in your own fabulous style.

We'll start with a soulful centering ritual to get your creative spirit flowing. Then I'll guide you through the technique of using a form to shape your mug. I'll show you how to imprint nature bits into the clay to create enchanting textures. Lastly, we'll attach a handle.

Delicious refreshments will be served to nourish your body.

When your mug has dried sufficiently, I will bisque fire it, glaze and glaze fire it and you will be able to pick it up if you are local or we can arrange for it to be shipped to you.

This workshop is for complete beginners as well as anyone who has experience working with clay.

In this immersive workshop, held in our light-filled barn studio, you will make an enchanting botanical platter.

This is a day for slowing down, connecting with the magic of winter and calling in your unique creativity.

We'll start the gathering with a soulful centering ritual to get your creative spirit flowing. Then we'll go out into the woods to forest bathe and gather pieces from nature that will create the texture in your platter (please bring appropriate clothing and footware for a cold December day).  Then, we'll gather in the warm studio for a delicious, locally sourced, lunch.

After lunch, I'll guide you through the techniques of hand building a large pottery platter. I'll show you how to imprint nature bits into the clay to create your own whimsical designs and textures.

You will be encouraged to use your imagination to get creative with the clay and the materials you have foraged so that your platter becomes a piece of art that is unique to you and handmade in your own fabulous style.

When your platter has dried sufficiently, I will bisque fire it, glaze and glaze fire it and you will be able to pick it up if you are local or we can arrange for it to be shipped to you.

This workshop is for complete beginners as well as anyone who has experience working with clay.
